welcome to my life :)
don't forget about the giveaway! info on the previous post
LOL! Story of my life... Well said, my dear! :)
ReplyDeleteThere's always the hope that inspiration will outdo procrastination :)
DeleteDo you think we'd all get more writing done if computers hadn't been invented yet? Or would we just find different distractions? Like taking out the new horse and buggy? =D Fun post!
ReplyDeleteI'd definitely find different distractions :) a horse and buggy has potential for sure haha
DeleteI'm glad I mostly got away from the Facebook scene. However, I also decided that I really didn't enjoy the process of writing for publication. Now I only write blog posts!
ReplyDeleteIt's great you were able to realize that and find a way to enjoy writing :)
DeleteWe're living the same life! Yeah...social media is a big distraction...chocolate is brain food, though.
ReplyDeleteChocolate is totally brain food :-)
DeleteThe hidden skills you discover when you're writing a novel are amazing. I can balance spoons on my nose did you know that? I didn't until I started writing.
ReplyDelete<3
Haha maybe you can use balancing spoons on the nose as character inspiration.. Seems like a good character quirk to me :-)
DeleteFirst, I am sorry that I didn't visit sooner after you participated in Battle of The Bands on my blog. I was feeling just a *bit* overwhelmed after the whole A to Z thing.
ReplyDeleteLoved this post. I really really hate when I don't know where I want to go with my WiP. I can try numerous ways to get there, but not knowing where I want to go... ugghh. Sometimes I will do things like walk the dog and just think about what I need to accomplish in this chapter. What aspect of the plot do I want to move forward and what elements of a character or characters does this highlight? Often once I decide that the chapters write themselves as much as I write them.
But I have done a fair amount of what you describe above, too. What writer hasn't????
No worries Robin :) One of my favorite things to do is to go and relax in bed and just think about my story and characters. I usually doze off, but hey, who doesn't need a good nap!
